| Nine Inch Nails – Ruiner Lyrics | 23 years ago |

I believe it means the exact opposite. A person in your life who keeps everyone wrapped around their finger by spreading lies and pretending to be what everyone wants to idolize. A person who moves into your life and takes everything from you. He's the only one who really see's what this person is all about and he's hoping that everyone else will eventually see what he see's. |

Been there, done that. Thats why this song hits close to home for me. I can't think of many people who can't relate to this song. emowillyum, I agree. If some people took 3 minutes of their life to listen to some of NIN's songs, they would probably have to agree that they aren't what the media portrays them as. Few artists are capable of writing music that has so much emotion put into it. |

I don't think this song would relate to religion in general because there are some religions out there which are highly admirable, that don't commit any violence, Buddhism for example. I'd simply say that it's an interpretation of how fake and full of bullshit Christianity and/or Catholocism is. -"He dreamed a god up" We created "God". -"God is dead" "Drowning in his own hypocrisy" We killed "God" by contradicting the belief structure that we created in his name. Thou shalt not kill...and then we ran off and fought a holy war and killed anyone who questioned the word of "God". Really sad...Christianity could be a very respectable religion if it only stood by it's word. |

I'm feeling too lazy to pick the song apart myself, but I agree with ks7702. The opening beat also sets a good pace for the bedroom. An ex and I used this song a lot to set the mood. |

| Nine Inch Nails – The Perfect Drug Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| It could be about a drug, but also take into account that more symbolism can be portrayed in the video which shows a young girl. Double meaning? | |
| Nine Inch Nails – March of the Pigs Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| On the interview album "Disturbed", Trent is asked what the meaning of the song is. Who are the Pigs? If I remember correctly, he said that the "Pigs" are all of the people in his life who just wanted to get close to him in order to try and control him, watch him fail or get in on a piece of that fame. | |
