wow, I don't really think it matters if the song is about god or not...personally i don't believe in god but i think the song was meant to have different meanings to different ppl.if your christian or even religious mayeb to you it's about god...or maybe for sumone else they listen to it and think about thier bf/gf...or maybe someone else thinks about thier family or friends....im just saying that these lyrics are pretty deep and one can't really limit them to one meaning. |

I first heard this song going on a long drive with my aunt when i was a kid..my cousin kept playing it over and over and just recently i thought about it and was searching and i finally found it lol...its a great song..although i think i understood it more so when i first heard it then i do now..it seemed to make more sence then :) but its still great none the less |
