I think it's about someone that is really ill and they know they are going to die, but they feel they arn't ready cause they can do better with there lives. They just want one more chance, and they won't sin or lie, they will be good and make it worthwhile. Well that's what I think, but it is about death, and it is one deep song. | |

| I agree at first I thought it was about the WTC incident, I still do, but I can see how it could be about any dude jumping off of a building, like bob nofx said someone committing suicide, I can see why he would say that. But I think it's about the WTC jumpers. | |

First off I gotta say this is one of the kewlest songs on the Box Car Racer CD. And if you haven't bought the CD you better get on the stick and do so, your missing out. Well anyways, I think this song is Tom just going over everything that is happening in the world now, and how they are making the world better for the next generation. Like at the part where it says: "I sat there hoping this is what we'll do if we can we will leave our letter and this song, for you we'll write, once a day and float it through the sea, to you" I think that means they are giving all our knowledge of todays people to tomorrows people, they are sending it in a "letter" and a "bottle". Know what I mean? Maybe if your on crack it's easier to see my way....o well, good song. |
