If you do not like the music, why post? If it means nothing to you, post nothing. People are so lame it is sickening. If someone thinks DC is the best band, let that person think that. Who the hell is one person to tell another person what to think?
Personally, I love this song. I heard it once at a concert (the second DC concert I went to) and I had never heard it before. I went home and immediately got online to find out the name of it. Thankfully, I d/l and I am in love with it! Dashboard Confessional might no be the VERY best band, but Chris is right up there with Mr. Connley as far as music and songwriting goes. I LOVE the end when he emphasizes each word so strongly...it renders such strong emotions. I always hoped to have someone to experience a situation like the one that the song talks about. This song is so wonderful...I get choked up everytime I hear it...

THis song is not about MTV, so why does everyone constantly bring it up? So he is on MTV; he is also on the cover of AP, who cares? If it pisses you off that much, don't listen to him, and don't post in an area about his song.
I did a speech once on why I admire Chris...the reasons are plenty. This is such a magniicent song. I still remember the day I downloaded it, the day after I saw him play in a coffee house, and telling my friend that she HAD to hear it...I e-mailed it to here. It is such an incrdeible song. MTV cannot ruin that to anyone. And if it ruins the beauty of the song to you, then you are a lame ass who does not have enough depth to even appreciate a great song for what it is. |

This is my favorite Saves The Day song. By far, the best. everytime I hear it, I just want to cry for all the mistakes I have made in my life. It just makes me rethink everything I have done, and realize that I cannot dwell on them. Everyone has had that time in his or her life where he or she just had to take a moment to think of the mistakes made. This song is all about that. |

Every Saves The Day songs seems to allude to my relationship with my girlfriend/friend....whatever mood we are in at the time. This song, however, has go to be the most that is close to us. It is so meaningful to me, I just get in a trance everytime I hear it. A lot of people here wrote that it is a break up song. I think, however, it is the sweetest song. I agree with shattered, though. I think the only reason he has these feelings for the person he sings the song to is because he cares so much about her, yet it is not mutual. She does not care enough, so he cannot stand it. I completely know how that one goes. |

I love this song. It is so amazing. I cannot even put into words what it means. I had to write something, though, to tell Chasingrainbows that I want to marry her/him. To compare a Saves the Day song with Holden Caulfield is amazing. I had to do a speech on who I admired, and two of my three choices were Chris and Holden. not that that has to do with "obsolete", but I had to say it. |

I, like Lizz 68 and elroythepunk, get this feeling when I hear this song. "Tonight I'll stay awake long enough to stop breathing." Those words are so great. The whole song is a montage of wonderfully chosen words, backed by gret music. This is one of my favorite Saves The Day songs, arguableymy favorite on "Can't Slow Down." |
