well i guess if you understand the background of the song than it makes sense why "fuck missouri" is said a lot and why the song is called missouri in the first place, i dunno some people understand some dont have a clue others like the song for what it is...but i highly doubt that if they actually do this song that they will put it on a cd or something becuz a lot of people wont understand it and it might give the band a bad name for the lyrics themselves, if that makes any sense...still this remains as one ot the deepest songs that the singer has written, and possibly the most controversial if you know the story behind it and such... |

i have to go with every single person that HATES this damn song. dashboard is just another shitty band that whines and whines and whines and they think they can write "emotional" lyrics. the first thing i would like say is that this song sucks, i already know that a million people are gonna bitch and whine at me becuz i dont like this song. well keep in mind that on SongMeanings you are supposed to tell what the song means to you and such, so im saying what it means to me. and i agree with the jerkoff guy, FREEDOM OF SPEECH so dont come bitching to me that if i dont like the song than i shouldnt say anything. second i am getting sick if this little emo bullshit scene, i must admit that some emocore or whatever the genre is called is good (such as poison the well and hopesfall) but shit like this is a weak excuse for it, and plus i dont think that there should even be a genre that the word emotional in it, becuz ALL music is emotional, and i realize that emo doesnt mean JUST emotional, but good lord just becuz they can whine and try to write meaningful lyrics doesnt make them emo or whatever. hell i would listen to that avril "complicated" bullshit over this song. music has been going downhill for a long time and this band is just another mudslide, making its way towards the MTV vacuum. and thats all that emo and punk is, a shitty wannabe mtv vacuum, but i know that everyone thinks that they have such a "bullshit" life and that things are "so bad" for them, so they feel like they have to cry every 2 minutes or cu their wrists for attention, punk and emo these days are RUINING music, there is no originality in the music or the lyrics. there are bands out there that deserve so much more credit then they are getting, like dillinger escape plan they beat the shit out of every band especially DC and hell like 3 people talk about them on this site. while shitty bands like DC and NFG and good charlotte and shit like that get attention that they dont even have to work for, they just whine and bullshit their way thru the music world and MTV. if you want some REAL music get some GlassJAw ("kiss kiss bang bang" and "everything you ever wanted to know about silence" days) poison the well, dillinger escape plan, or if you feel like beatin the shit out of something or you wanna hear some really good shit download eighteen visions. or you can just slip into the poser mtv vacuum while in the near future DC sells out like most bands do these days and you get all pissy and go cry to your other emo bullshit.

i dunno what this song could be, i mean i was reading a magazine, there was an article about GlassJAw and Daryl was saying that Worship And Tribute was basically an apology to people. I saw the video for this song i thought it sucked, they are trying too hard to be punk and funny...and seriously jordan has no emotion in his voice, and the lyrics are plain simple. and its getting thrown on MTV all the time, and i have to agree with a lot of people once you are a "punk" band and you reach MTV you aren't punk anymore, i hate this stupid "punk" trend becuz its to the point to where whoever says that they are punk isn't. and besides there are soo many more bands that deserve more credit, i'm not saying that they should be thrown on MTV, but bands like Poison the Well are EXTREMELY good and they write really good music, i love that band but no one gives them credit, and probably most the people on this site haven't even heard of poison the well, and they probably only heard NFG from MTV. so the point is that it shouldnt matter if they are selling out or not becuz either way they ARE NOT punk and this song sucks, period. |
