| i would have to say that i didn't hear any strings or acoustic guitars in Summer Romance.....there was a saxophone and some porno guitar riffs as opposed to the metal sounding stuff.....thats why it sounded different. i love the song though. however, i just have to say that this is all pointless, because this is all matters of opinion and it's obvious nobody is gonna change, certainly not incubus, just because of what WE think. so anyways......this song (and entire album) kicks ass. i listen to SCIENCE when i'm pumped up and Morning View when i'm just chillin. thats just me though. | |

i could not agree more with nowhere fast (though he needs to check his grammar a bit, hehe)......jimbobjoe, and everybody else complaining about them "going soft".....you must have skipped blood on the ground...under my umbrella...circles...have you ever...you can't tell me those songs are soft. also, you complain about incubus going with what the masses want to hear, and not staying hard. well here's a little secret i'm gonna let you in on...YOU ARE the masses. incubus is changing their sound to suit what THEY want to sound like, not what you people want them to sound like. as someone said, they are "evolving." another way to put it is that they have matured as a band. they are getting more creative, and more expressive in their music, and you can tell that they are putting all that they have into it. as nowhere fast said, "no one wants to hear the same album over and over again..." that is another great reason. if they didn't change their music throughout the years, it would get boring listening to them. so i'm basically going to restate what nf said, and say that you need to just sit down and listen to, and absorb morning view. it's one of my favorite albums that i own (along with SCIENCE). and i admit, i used to not like Morning View at all. but then i actually listened to it, and i was like "wow." cuz the way this band can just express themselves and convey their feelings through their music is badass. that's all i have to say about that. oh yeah, this song kicks ass, it's awesome to listen to very loud in my car, i like cheese and that's no lie. |

i just want to say that my favorite song on the album is perfection through silence...which has NOTHING TO DO WITH RELATIONSHIPS (the way i interpret it, anyway)! oh boy, get my prescription for prozac ready, i'm going to the pharmacy!!! geez, you people (aallppiinnee, negatyve) must lead very boring lives, because it is apparent that you have nothing better to do than go on the pages of bands that you don't like and complain about them. you're not going to change anybody's opinions about anything! however, i do agree, Coheed and Cambria is a very good band, and i suggest them as well. BUT if you people are gonna say to listen to something else, then say that. don't waste your time typing meaningless crap about how you hate finch or whoever. if you simply put "if you like finch, then you should go check out Coheed and Cambria," you're much more likely to get people to go give a listen. |

| i'm not going to bother trying to explain this song, it's rather obvious. so i shall rant on about what everybody else is ranting on about.....first off, J.E.W. is NOT emo. i think any music called "emo" is retarded, emo is just another way for people to label music and more easily categorize themselves along with the music they listen to. J.E.W. never called themselves emo, as a matter of fact they hate to be called emo. it's simply the mtv crowd that is going around labelling every band so that each can "fit in" to it's own category. i really think J.E.W. is in a category all their own (much like what i think about finch), what they do is so different from most of the other music i hear. most of their songs - like this one - are just completely unique. and that is the reason i like them so much. i don't care that they are aired on MTV, as long as they keep making music for love of making music and not for the love of money, i'll keep listening to it. the music is simple but it blends so well and there are so many different elements that it's just simply amazing. this song gives me goosebumps. and just so everybody knows who cares, i bought clarity before i bought this album. alright well i'm done, respond if you want, i probably won't say anything back. thank you and good day/night. | |

| i see this song as being about the upstart "musical groups" that just try to get into the industry for the money and the fame. the line "temporaryism has been the black plague and the jesus of our age" talks about the pop culture and the trendiness of getting into a band or whatever. "sooner or later they'll be throwing quarters at you on stage" means because of their desire for simple fame and fortune and their lack of motivation to actually make good music for people then they'll just end up playing at small coffee shops with people throwing quarters at them. "even though you're singing and thinking how well you've got it made" is like the groups that make it big for a little bit and they just get lazy and slack off and eventually they'll be cast down, because it was just a phase. thats my opinion. | |
