hey guys i'm new at this but personally i think this song could POSSIBLY(note i said possibly so no one get angry)
be about how jesus let himself die(self-righteous suicide)
for us but people refuse to believe in what he did for them (i don't think you trust in my self righteous suicide)
and they have crappy lives because of this, which they try to cover up(hide the scars to fade away the shake up)
and he feels bad when these nice people die and go to hell for not believing in him(i cry when angels deserve to die)
But don't hold me to this i'm a christian so that could explain why i interpreted this song this way
