Have you ever had a song totally lift your mood when you heard it? Her voice is just so innocent and sweet, and the piano is perfect...it's a welcome break from all the Britney clones, believe me! I know people will undoubtedly say that this song lacks depth, but it's rare you hear someone say that a song has real meaning unless it's one in which the singer is wailing in some tortured voice about some tragedy. This is like a breath of fresh air, a completely joyous song that perfectly captures the feeling of being in love with someone. Every time I hear this song it makes me feel like I've fallen in love again! By the way, this is the only one of her songs I've heard; can anyone tell me if her cd is worth buying? |

And to all those who keep calling Kurt a "coward" and so on and so forth, have some goddamned respect for the dead, all right? None of us ever knew what he felt, none of us ever will. |

I don't think anyone should get offended by the way Stan killed his girlfriend. Eminem was actually trying to send a real message in this video. Maybe he could have done it less morbidly, but then, he could have been more morbid, as well. The point is, if Stan had just killed himself, it would have been sad. But the fact that he took this poor woman and her baby with him adds to the horrific poignancy of the song. This song was about pain, about someone trying to find himself by living through another person. And in the end, when his sanity came crumbling down...well. The part of the song that hit me the hardest was actually at the very end, when Eminem is writing back and suddenly realizes who Stan was, and you know that maybe (lost cause though he was), if Stan had held out just a little longer, all that death would never have occured. |

When I first heard this song I thought it was about a guy waiting for someone he hadn't seen in a long while, like someone who picked on him or did him wrong. And he was waiting not necessarily to kill him when he arrived, but just to...I don't know, pay him back or something? It's hard to explain. There are so many ways to look at a song, so many underlying messages and hidden meanings in every word that it's hard to pin one down. I agree with the idea that it's about acceptance, as well; I just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts about the other one. |
