This is not solely for dillingerescape plan, but it is in response to his argument. You say if this osng were art it would be nothing but trailor trash garbage...however, you fail to understand that mose art does not portray nor is it created from normal standard and /or people. Art is interesting and intriguing solely because of it's simplicity and unusual charactersitcs. As for the artist most artists are not by your standards some middle class male with a 4 person family....as a matter of fact Andrew W.K. more of less fits the standard of a successfula rtist than what your belief of an artist is. I don't want to start a fight or anythign ,but the point you present is totally illegitimate in the sense that Andrew W.K. created a simple song in which some like and some don't, but without a question has caused a controversy and a commotion unlike i have seen in the music industry ina long time....he kind of reminds me of a famous painter who was a lunatic and painted pictures so simple people in his era found his works to be worthless...however much later people relaized that the works were actually magnificent intheir simplicity and beauty for just uplifting the spirits instead of having a depressing and gloomy appearance...yes that man is pablo picasso one of the most well known artists in the history of the world....and in very many senses Andrew W.K. has followed in his footsteps. |

The only thing I have to say to this is that you can't deny the fact that Andrew W.K. and Party Hard are already going down in history, as maybe not hte greateast song, but most definately as one of the most controversial. I don't see how you can refute this point when you yourself are here arguing against it. Sometimes you just have to admit that somebody is making somethign of their music even if you don't appreciate it. |

Okay you are right I don't have the right to tell people they aren't welcome here, I'll admit that like a man. As for the song It's not about the ideas it conveys it's about the emotion it evokes. It is something different in a very similar music culture these days. He is taking a risk making this music and as we can all see here many people are quite objectful to it. What can an artist do but accept that fact and play their music for themselves, for their fans, and for their love of music. This is what Andrew W.K. does and this is why I appreciate him. It goes much deeper than just a level of this song sound horrible so it sucks or this song sound good so it's great. As for isl1ngt0n, now tell me, when is the last time that beleiving in something actually made a difference. I pity you because because you make no sense....More people have had their lives stolen on the topic of beliefs than anything else in this world and you try and pull this shit on me. You need yourself need to do plenty more thinking before you ca even say that the reason Andrew W.K. is so weak is that he is an escape. And for your information 80s anthem metal is dead but it is still remember as a revolutionary music that brought forth...oh can you guess what I'm about to say....Andrew W.K., and whether you like it or not he's here to stay and has a plentiful amount of fans....I think you need to think real hard on that before you say anything else. |

And this is where I derive my opinions...you say substance is in the art you look at, yet you choose to say this music has no substance. Heresay I get the power to call you a fool, for who are you to say where substance lies and where it does not, and this is why I say people take it too seriously, because they have nothing better to do thatn attack the art others appreciate and find meaning in. Ahhh good argument, but you forget one thing. You look for substance in a place where substance just doesn't exist. Open your eyes and if you call the world we live in a place full of substance then you deserve for me to come over there and hit you in the head with an axe. Substance, substance, substance, this music is about taking a break form life, and it does nothing but suceed in that. Not alot of peopl like that, too many people are stuck in living life seriously. Let me tell you one thing, Life is a joke you have to go out and have fun....there's not much substance to that, but I'm quite sure you know it's the truth. Well it just happens that emochris here can put a good argument and I like that in a person....however he also dislike Andrew W.K., which I find repulsive in a person. A good mix if you ask me...a good mix indeed. I will admit Andrew W.K.s lyrics don't have ane special "gusto" to them, however, i do dare to challenege your forthcoming accusations (not just you can you mighty big words emo, it's called a dictionary or maybe half a brain) that he makes music for money. If you maybe took a moment of your time and headed over to Adnrewwk.com you might perhaps be taken back by the philosophies and beliefs of the one Mr. Andrew W.K. I think that pretty much explains he is making music for his love of music. While not everyone in this world has the talent to write beautiful and eye pleasing lyrics, Andrew W.K. does suceed in making his lyrics in a sense asinine, but also in another sense cachy and full of energy. His songs know how to keep a party going and know how to please those who are tired of the same old shit. It's songs like these that make people see that there is more than jsut the tragedies of life and love in the world...and i do say that I would take that Adnrew W.K. love for life and fun music over whiny depressing shit anyday....you get enough of that depressing crap living everyday of your life you fool. |

Andrew W.K. is an amazing artist. I will not bibble or babble, but honestly he takes music to a new dimension and pours nothing but pure energy into his music. To do this is a talent beyond any other that any modern musician can comprehend. He is a diamond in the rough because in an era where there is nothing but whiny teenage punk rock, which don't get me wrong has it's own perks and intriguing music, but for someone to take a chance with these fans and make the usic Andrew W.K. makes proves he is making this music not just for money, but he is making music for the fans, for himself, and plain and simply for the love of music, which many current modern day artists fail to do. You can think whatever you will of Andrew W.K., you can bash his music, youc an bash his fans, you can do as you please it's your opinion, but I am on the other end of the spectrum and I will say Andrew W.K. deserves respect as a muscian because he does somethign rare these days, which for your information emochris whatever bands you listen to fail to produce in their music, Andrew W.K. suceeds in making catchy tunes with amazing music that makes youw ant to do what music is suppsed to do...have fun. Now if you can't accept my opinion here which many will agree with and many will disagree with then you can leave this site without saying another word.Now as far as emochris being an idol then my friends you need to open your eyes smell the fresh air and take your heads out of your asses. And well you can say whatever you will about me but I alone have the intellect of multiple chimpanezes, in fact I guarantee I am smarter than emochris and all his goons combined, and I also guarantee that I could beat the living flaming crap out of every one of your unappreciative asses.
