I definitely belief that this song is based on personal events of the artist as all great songs are. However to me this is what the song means to me. The chorus beautifully illustrates the feelings that you get when you first break up with someone. We all know the phase where you hate him or her and you want to blame them for it all Next is when you hit depression. You still love your ex and you feel he or she hates you and you just wish you could be with them.... but you can't and you view that suicide is the only answer. Then is when you give up on life and push away everyone and act like you could careless about the world anymore as it all begins to slip away. Lastly You wonder "what the hell was I doing?" and you realize that you have pushed everyone away and you've put yourself on a path in life that you don't know where it will end up. That is what the song means to me at least |
