I believe it's about someone she's with, and perhaps he wanted to go along with her on tour but.. she doesn't want him to for whatever reason, because it's a difficult life or whatnot (I dream of you, but I still believe there's only enough for one in this lonely hotel suite...) like they've discussed it. But a simple song about how she wants to "get back to" him. But who knows. |

Ever since the first time I heard this song it always made me think of a girl and a guy who are together, and the guy is rather abusive and doesn't realize what he's got, and what a beautiful girl he's with. During the mideastern chanting type part in the song, I've always seen that as representation of the girl's beauty, and then once again there's "smack my bitch up", reaffirming that he doesn't even see it. Or doesn't care. Either way.. I'm strange. |

At a film festival recently I saw a short that had the same basic animation style/theme as the video for "hell bent" (yes, yes.. not his, but alas) except this one was to the legendary "paranoid android". Can anyone tell me who originally was going to use the footage? Anyways, I agree that it fits perfectly with the song. |

At the very end there's a backwards voice saying,"Don't Listen To This Song."
