Blink 182 are walking bill boards for Hurley and a boy band who happen to play instruments (not very well). They cancelled their uk tour last year twice. The 1st time because of Sept 11th (which i can understand) and the second time because tom "hurt" his back which was suposidly gonna take months to get better, yet Blink went on tour with green day a few weeks later. They could have at least have had the decency to say -we dont wanna play, rather than ,messing their fans around who have payed for tickets and coming up with some lame excuse........Has no one heard of the good `ol punk rock attitude - The show must go on? |

Selling out for me is when a band deliberatley changes its sound of music to fit in with what sells to the masses at the current time, and i dont care what anyone says blink have done this with take off your pants..... if you compare tracks of their current album with dude ranch/chesire cat.... and u cant see what im talking about then you really need to open your eyes. Damn it is probibly the best song that blink have tho .Also while we are talking about weather they are punk or not, they are NOT punk they have punkish bits in their songs but they are not a punk band...NOFX, Rancid,op ivy,GBH,or the sex pistols is real punk these are bands who had clear objectives and something worth while to hear .............unlike blinks smash chart hit "all the small things" i mean please ....i have never heard such utter shite in my entire life, i mean a monkey could write smarter lyrics than there are in that song its insulting to listen to. |

I know deryck from sum 41 pretty well , and even i can see that this song is not punk. For me is one of their worst overplayed songs, punk music for me is NOFX or the distiilers, or black flag. There is no question that sum 41 are not a good band because they wouldnt be where they are now if they were bad, but to answer sebe17: this song to me is not punk at all it lacks attitude and any real messege or cause. Compare it with black flag life of pain and it seems like catchy pop tune. |
