When it says "its not enough to be second best" i think its more likely referring to america getting the crap blown out of it on september 17 or whenever it was ad they wanted to fight back and prove they were better, not that afghan werent content with being second best to america...i dunno, jsut a thought |

Just because a band is big doesn't mean they've sold out, look at pennywise, they're still the same as before, they still play what they want, say what they want and sing about stuff that is important to the world. They don't give a damn what anyone thinks, they just wanna play good music and let people hear it. Selling out isn't when a band becomes popular, it's what they do when they become popular. Bands like the offspring and greenday have totally changed what their music is like, what they sing about and what they stand for in order to become a popular band. Selling out is sueing your own lead singer who wrote all your music, lyrics and pretty much did everything for the band like Dead Kennedys did. |

So true, so many great bands have covered this song too. The porkers, Reel Big Fish, etc. At warped this year it was a huge surprise when Area7 who were headlining the Australian leg played freeze up for their second last song, was pretty schmick |

This is such a great song, i reckon everyone should have a copy of it somewhere. This bands lyrics are just so damn good, they actually mean something and have effort put into them unlike the millions of bands and singers out there who have other people write their music and the lyrics mean nothing, but are just rhyming words.
I wish i lived in Florida so i could see these guys play or they would come to Sydney to do a gig :( |

The line "a message to you Rudy" is referring to a song by an old ska band the specials, called "a message to you Rudy". Rudy is just shortened for rudeboy, which are those dudes who run around in porkpie hats with flicknifes and call everything sellout :P
