reply to: by ccghost on 12-22-2004 Jesus will always be on the good side, whether we're on the good side or not.. John 15: "18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me." |

punkrawker-- i may be misunderstanding you, but excommunicate does not mean the same thing as communicate, i believe it means to: 1 To deprive of the right of church membership by ecclesiastical authority. 2 To exclude by or as if by decree from membership or participation in a group. |

I wasn't really sure what this song meant until the other day I was having a pretty rough time and listened to it in the car. It kind of just all came together. This is how i interpret this song, right or wrong, it makes sense to me. "And today I will trust you with the confidence Of a man who's never known defeat But tomorrow, upon hearing what I did I will stare at you in disbelief Oh, inconsistent me Crying out for consistency" ^ Turning his life completely over to God, leaving what temporary behind for the eternal. I think those who have experienced this would agree that after you try to turn everything over to God, you start to think, "I did what?! but that's all I have!" Humans are inconsistent. One moment we'll be all out for God, and the next moment doubts and troubles arise and we long for that trust and peace we once felt when we seemed humble and close to the Lord. And you said I know that this will hurt But if I don't break your heart then things will get worse If the burden seems too much to bear Remember The end will justify the pain it took to get us there More often then not, it seems God has to break our heart before he takes us where he wants us to be. Our hearts are filled with worldy things, and God sometimes has to break our heart so we realize what is really important. We get on the wrong track and the wrong things become important to us, and sometimes if God doesn't break our heart, things will just get worse. I think the last 2 lines of this verse are self explanatory: Remember The end will justify the pain it took to get us there |

Before we put down God for the things that go wrong in our lives, we need to look at ourselves... are we perfect? No. Will things on earth ever be perfect? No, and look who is to blame... we destroy each other. God did not crash planes into buildings, we corrupt the world. Maybe instead of living our lives without God, and blaming him for things that go wrong when we choose to ignore him, we should walk within his will and feel what it is like to be at peace with our Lord. God will always walk besides you, no matter what is going wrong. In Christ Jesus, Tim |
