this is THE greatest song ever written, in my humble opinion. if i would've written this song, i'd never write another song again. and what amazes me about it is that after this song, bono continues to write amazing songs (walk on, starin at the sun.....) and i hate him for having more of that gift than everybody else in this world. Goddamn you bono! and the music makes it just asskicking. they put the right music to set the mood for this song and ugh... words can't explain how this song makes me feel. GODDAMN BONO!!! |

this is one of the greatest songs ever written. it's so hopeless i think it fills me up with so much hope. billy corgan is about the best poet alternative rock has ever had. mr. corgan can put the worlds of millions into his songs and that's a gift. just an amazing song. and the sad music just makes it that more amazing. just amazing. |

the way i interprut this song is wanting to see someone who has left you or died. my cousin died and everytime i hear this song i always think of her. the line tha goes 'my god it's been so long/ never dreamed you'd return' says that i never thought i'd see her again and it's a blessing that i did and i have so many things to tell her. how i changed by not changing and stuff. also, living in a small town, i can relate to the 'small town predicts my fate' because anyone from a small town knows that you're influenced by your small town. and small towns suck.

mark hoppus often says that this is hs favorite song that he's written. and i agree with him. i love this song. everytime i hear it i fall in love with it that much more. 'dude ranch' is my favorite blink record (if i had to choose one), and this is probably my favorite song off of it. anybody who's ever lost somebody that they cared about can totally relate to this song, including me. blink has helped me through a couple of tough situations in my life and i am forever in their debt because of that. thanks guys! |
