I love Maroon 5 and this is my favorite Maroon 5 song. They just played at my college (Gettysburg) and they were awesome. They put on a great show. Their encore was a cover of "Highway to Hell" and it rocked. As far as this song, I think it's cool how he seems like no matter what he does, he just cofuses her, but she can't bring herself to leave. You gotta go see these guys in concert, they're awesome!!!! |

This is such a mello song, and such a sad song. It makes me think of saying goodbye or moving on. I remember my uncle said they sung this song the night before his college graduation, just kept singing and singing it. What a great song for that situation. |

I heard this song on the radio but I didn't now who sung it. But I think it describes a guy's infatuation with a girl perfectly. In that stage when you're in the begininning of a relationship of something, that feeling of complete bliss with your significant other is unmatched. This song is catchy, especially the chorus, and does a great job of illustrating a man's very vivid feelings. |

There are a bunch of different versions of this song out there, I think the one of Live at Folsom Field is the best. This version is missing the great line and the devil and the lord dancing like everyone else said, but it's also missing one of the best Dave lyrics ever, "Without the hatred where's the light? Without the darkness, where's the love?" |

I think the great thing about this song is that even thought the title seems so depressing, it's actually uplifting. Only Dave could take a kind of morbid idea like lying in your grave and turn it into a positive message. The guy's a genius. |

This is a great DMB song that many people overlook. I love the last couple lines..."I wonder do I want the simple, simple life that I once lived in well
Oh things were quiet then
In a way they were the better days." To me this song could be about evolution and primates and stuff. But on a simpler level it's about moving onto to new and different experiences, but still being able to stay yourself. Before the monkey left he was like all the rest, but after "going to the city" he becomes proud. This song is all about knowing who you are and being able to experience new and different things. A solid DMB song, one of the best. DMB forever!

I am sick and tired of everyone calling DMB a sellout. My God, music is a business and sometimes you have to adapt and change. Rather than worrying about DMB becoming more "TRL friendly" (which is kind of absurd anyway) can't you realize that they are sooo talented and have given their fans so much great music. Perhaps the people calling DMB a sellout could worry about their own self-absortion instead of Dave's "selling out." I don't see just because the guy plays an electric guitar in a couple of songs, or is on TRL once or twice makes them any less of artists. Is it not "cool" to listen to them just because their a tad mainstream. You people need to get your priorities straight. They're an AWESOME band and pretty much everything they've ever done has been money. |

This is by far my favorite DMB song. It just goes to show how amazing of a storyteller Dave is. Older people tend to feel offended when new music broaches the topic of religion. However Dave does this in an unbelievable way. Hats off to DMB! |

I CANNOT believe nobody has commented on this song, personally it's one of my DMB favs! It celebrates love and friendship in a simple way, which makes it very appealing. The fact that "I wouldn't waste a minute here tonighte" shows that no place is good enough for the love of this person's life. What a great tune!! |

I agree with everyone else. It's exactly how I feel when I think of the person I'm attracted too. The way you wish every little detail somehow illustrates a hopeful relationship. The song makes me feel bitter to the one I love, but at the same time foolish for leading myself on. |

I can't see how people cand diss Everyday. Lyrically, it's so solid with songs like So Right, If I Had it All, and Fool to Think. I think the fans that say Dave sold out in making this album are totally unconnected. Part of being an artist is to reach out to different groups; this is all Dave's doing. Just because Dave went in a different direction doesn't mean he sold out. To all those who feel other wise, you can take you're inflated, arrogant, pompous crap somewhere else. |
