I think this song is talking about spotting kids that will freak out and do something stupid. And the beginning is talking about this kid is has nothing to live for. And the last paragraph right before the chorus talks about he just comitted his first murder. And he will continue down this road until he gets caught by the proper authorities. |

I think he is going through a life crises (duh!). It seemed like this problem just crept upto him like he discribes but even worse then he thought was going to happen but he saw it coming before it happen but did nothing to stop it to happen becuase he says "Enveloped now, encased by my worst fear." and also saying that "I always knew. I always saw it coming."
Most likely he did something to someone. Becuase he says "I am the once embraced abandoned one." Now he wants god to fix everything that he did. But it seems like God is doing nothing becuase he says "I was burnt, by the sun" By that he feels abandoned by God becuase their is no reply back from heaven. |

It seems like one of those old sad love story movies. Kind of like the movie "Sleepy Hollow" but in black and white. Where it is suppose to be the best day of his life and the girl never shows up (like that). It seems like when he says "steal away the breath and leave me on my own." Is when he realizes that girl will never show up. Or maybe never cared. |

Will he still be popular for the time to come? Or will he loose his image later on the road? Even better will a more talented band take over his spot light and think what will his fans do at a time like that? |

I say this song is funny becuase it makes fun of jocks. Those football players think their the "shitz!" Their even worse when they make varsity and brag about their whole life like a Ted Bundy. Don't get me wrong Ted Bundy is funny on "married with children" but i see thats the way their going to live in the future --Ten years later. |

This is a quite intresting song due to the way it is written. It probaly talking about his fustrations in relationships (a girl i presume). He probaly got hurt really bad and left him this emotion-less for a while. Now a little later he feels that revenge or hatred towards this person will bring out their "true self." I mean by saying their "old scares."
This song can pertain to really anyone like a bitter eX relationship. Maybe even a bitter dispute with his parents. I need to do more research on other songs from AFI. Cya! |
