It's a good song. Meterora (what I've heard of it - songs 7 onward) is much more powerful emotionally to Linkin Park. I'm no HUGE fan, but I like the mix they came up with of classical and heavy. I do think the albums a bit rappy though. As for the song - I somehow like the way Linkin Park are so literal about their lyrics - I mean, sometimes you get sick of having to always look deeper for a meaning. This song talks about something all of us have been through. Good move. (And a big "up yours" to anyone who looks down on me for liking LP - we all like our popular bands. I like the sound. It hits deep somehow. Probably the endless engineering and producing they did to it to make it more appealing to the general public. So what, I'm a hipocrite. So are you :)) |

While I'm not as "totally blown away" by the fact that corey can SING - (If you heard Soulfly's "JumpDaFuckUp" in which he sings, you'd know he can sing), I must say the guy is smart. He has the capacity to do shit like slipknot, angry shit... yet he can still make stuff like this, Inhale, Cold Reader... which shows a diverity you don't see very often. Sapphire: Slipknot hasnt made a turnaround. This has nothing to do with slip except he's the lead singer. corey didnt write much slipknot stuff. It was written by shawn, joey, corey, and mike mainly, with other bits whacked in by others. But thats Off Topic. "Bother" Seems to me to be a song about himself, or someone else (like a friend... I doubt its about a lover - thats too clique.)... Seems like the average run-of-the mill "fuck you, bugger off" sort of song, to me. The lyrics arent anything special, nor is the song - BUT, that being said, I love it for some reason. Go figure. |

| I always thought opposite.. a few things point to sheer sexual frustration. "Still you lead me and I follow, anything you ask you know I'll do, just one act of consecration, is all I ask of you..." I mean, I thought that it might be something to do with sex. She's leading him through... maybe even married him, and he still, quite simply, isnt getting any. "DO SOMETHING FOR ME"... "Sever flesh and bone, and OFFER IT TO ME"... Things like that... you know as well as I that trent isnt exactly conservative when it comes to sexual issues. Just a thought. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that way... | |
