Oh this song has been a soundtrack to my summer :) i went to London recently and it was so beautiful. It mentions places in London and i was singing along while visiting and it made me so happy. Joe the boy, idlewild aren't english my dear, Scottish!!! Can you not hear his accent when he's singing/talking? anyways, I have no detailed synopsis of this song, i don't really like looking into songs too deeply because it can often blur what the writter was trying to get across of feeling. I'm not sure that idlewild maturing is a good thing tho. I havn;t got the remotist part yet, but my friend said it was very mellow. I liked the older stuff better me thinks! |

Yes i agree with you! I think that they are made out to be too much like a radiohead rip off. Ok so Radiohead may be one of their influences, but they have a different style. It's a really unique style as well, and if anyone knows any bands similar to them i'd love to know cos i love it. When i went to see them i was totally blown away by Matt's vocals and piano, even tho i couldnt see anythin cos im so short, i could hear it, and that was enough to make it an amazing gig. |

yer i think your write. Gertude Stein wrong a poem about a rose, and that show the song came about. I wouldn't mind seeing the poem cos idlewild seem to likegertrude stein, when i went to see them she was on the front of the drum kit! This song means alot to me. I first heard it when a friend of mine, Barn, Told me to download it, and it's now 'our' song and over time we have become like brother and sister. When i went to see idlewild i was meant to be going with him, but he had a car crash on the way to the gig. Now every time i hear it i remeber sitting outside Birmingham Academy listening to them doing Roseability for sound check. Even though i was crying at the time, it makes me really happy thinking back. |
