I don't know whether I believe this or not, but I heard that the guy in the song is Jake Gyllenhaal. |

This is such an amazing song. Songs containing mixed emotions always hit me hard. I love the metaphor about the cobwebs in his chest, about how his heart is stagnant from not being able to love since she left him. The allusion to themselves is rather awkward, but this is a damn good song. |

To me this song is talking about the ruthlessness of Western imperialism and how the government can just cover up the scars, and the country won't know the difference. |

"If we run far away do you think we will ever die?" I've felt that way so many times before, thinking maybe I could run away from my problems, maybe that if I leave the people who hurt me, I won't be so depressed, but I know the problems could come back to haunt me. "We'll throw these books in the fire", this could be alluding to Ray Bradbury's novel "Fahrenheit 451" or it could be just the blatantly obvious realization that without books knowledge is forsaken, and that knowledge can be painful. If one doesn't know any better, they cannot see oppression in the world for what it truly is. |

Mmm... this song is so good. It perfectly reflects having someone that just makes you feel so good you melt inside with every word they speak to you. Someone you'd do anything for. Someone you're so attached to that you don't know what you'd do if it ended. I love this song. I remember when they played it live the very first time I saw them live. I was hooked forever. I'm in love with Chris Conley's songwriting. I love him, he's such a beautiful person, inside and out. Once he told me he loves me. To the girl who said " I wish I was going to KFMA Day 3", don't feel too bad about missing it. I drove for hours on end to see them there, but their set wasn't very long as they weren't headlining. There were 25,000 people there! It was insane. There were only two people ahead of me during Saves the Day. I was the only person as far as I could see that knew the words to their songs and was singing along. Lots of people knew "At Your Funeral". It was hot as hell that day and there were too many kids there who don't know who STD is. I mean I'd put up with anything for Saves the Day, but don't feel too sad. |
