| Econoline Crush – You Don't Know What It's Like Lyrics
| 21 years ago

Amen! The only thing i could possibly add to that is I believe the lyrics could also symbolize a bitter relationship torn apart by addictions, whether it was drugs, infidelity, etc. I get the impression from the song that he originally was interested in her and wanted to help, but her issues caused him to lose respect for her in the end; the message I get is "Told you so."
This is another one that showcases the band's perfect combination of hooks, emotion, and vocal precision. To hell with comparisons, there is only one Econoline Crush! Make sure to check out Trevor's new project with members of Collective Soul and Holly McNarland, EARLY MOSES!!! |

This is obviously a statement of the person feeling inadequate because of the girl(or whatever) and trying his best to be in the same league as her. The person isn't really that miserable, he just gets that impression from her...likely she is narcissistic or self-fulfilled, as the album's theme tends to suggest.
This is, overall, a kick-ass song with an awesomely symbolic video, from a truly talented and intelligent group of artists. |

This song has been reportedly dedicated to Shannon Hoon, the late singer of Blind Melon, and supposedly Trevor was very close to him. He never ceases to fail me with his flawless writing. It saddens me the band never got the attention they so rightly deserved. Econoline Crush was the measuring stick for what the definition of a talented band is. EVERYONE CHECK OUT TREVOR'S NEW BAND, EARLY MOSES, PLEASE! |

Feeder are terrific, extremely talented musicians. Grant has the ability to write very dreamy, introspective, and often ironic lyrics. I love the opening line. |

It's nonsense. No, not in an insulting way, but really, it is. Justine wrote it while she was in the bathroom w/Damon Albarn, and was looking for something to write about. It was the first thing Damon saw, and he said to write about the jar of vaseline. |

| Dovetail Joint – Oh My God Lyrics

This expresses the thought that as soon as we are old enough to learn, the concept of religion is constantly forced upon us. We really don't think about the true meaning of it most of the time, and that why the song is titled "Oh my God." We never give a thought as to why we believe in a particular religion, or what convinced us to in the first place. The second verse has my favorite line: "I don't profess to be so bold as to say i'm right/ But I am right to second guess any issue." |

This is a wonderful song(my fave on the CD along with #7) about the internal qualities of a person that make them beautiful. The woman is confident, radiant, and graceful, which to him, epitomizes what beauty really is. |

It's a testament to the cookie-cutter world of pop music and entertainment, and a girl who tries to change it. Possibly about Manda herself? She decides she isn't like the other girls, and doesn't try to be. Unlikely for others to follow her lead, but that is what she hopes for. |

I added all the lyrics except a few lines in the middle of the song that weren't listed. If anyone has these lyrics, feel free to let me know! |

I remember this song because it was on A Comedy Central half-hour special one time. "Special Ed" is still the funniest one, but I like this one a lot too. |

Thanks for that explanation! I never even noticed before I typed the lyrics that this whole section was in the booklet that had never been sung. It definitely does add to the song, though. I was mainly going for the most literal, correct lyrics, and as I earlier mentioned, NOT by the booklet. But if any one wants to know the unsung portion, I'll leave it. |

In case you haven't noticed, the middle section that originally appeared in the lyrics from the booklet has been omitted. I'll scream with joy if anyone can tell me why David never sings those lyrics! Generally, a lot of the lyrics from Moist's booklets are wrong, and I never went by them. I typed the lyrics by ear. |

Hey I added this song to the list because it is one of my favorite Moist songs of all time. It's blistering, yet beautiful at the same time. Moist are definitely masters of the concept of being abrasively beautiful, where quality truly takes first priority. Moist doesn't get nearly enough credit, especially from the USA, and I would like, as a Texan, do give them that where it is due. |

| moist – Shotgun Lyrics

According to me and several people I asked, this song is about someone who is a drug addict and is about to die. "How long is this gonna take us?" means he is trying to beat his addiction but "hope is crashing." He can' operate on a day-to-day basis without drugs("Tired of all the vacillations/Halcion come take me under.") And I think the word 'under' in that line signifies a lack of control. A possible theory is that "Shotgun" is about Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, since before his death, the two were about to divorce. |

That's ironic...this is an anti-paparazzi song, and probably 200 nosy Vjs interviewed him about it. I'd have to agree with most of these POV's and it's sad when even interviewers are too dense to realize the guys just want to be left alone, especially after this wake-up call. |

Chris is obviously the only person here who can discuss the song without either being a retard and talking shit about something he doesn't understand OR going psycho about it like a 15 year old I-wanna-marry-Scott-and-have-his-baby wannabe. If you are a real Creed fan, just leave those dumbasses alone...they are probably all high school sophomores with sucky little high school bands....they hold strong opinions on shit they don't know...and are content to live in their idiocy. Back to the point, "Beautiful" is a wonderful song, and i think it deals with a woman who likes to be conniving and cheat and lie. If you have read "Great Expectations," it correlates to the old woman's daughter. Peace. |
