i think this one is kind of simple to decifer the meaning to? it's called "watch the world", then the lyrics suggest they're talking about the events of september 11th, and the war going on in the middle east...the "letters" are most likely to the soldiers, like someone else suggested..in my humble opinion, it's about the war and it's a very strong song...i love this song! |

i like this song...it's written by someone who has a lot, they make lots of money with their work and this song is about the people who have nothing, and that's really cool, it's not something you'd expect from a "punk" band...and it's nice to hear an occasional song that ISN'T about unrequited love or boys or girls or love. yay for this song! |

this song has a really nice, demented feel to it, and kind of reminds me of the band "jack off jill", but that's not to say it's not a good song. while it tends to bore me a little, i still think it's a good song, although i'm more preconditioned to more rythmic stuff, this is good for those mellow times. |

i love this song...i wish i could get myself to feel like this, since i know the pain of unrequited feelings, and i wish i could just move on...not only that, but the guitar and melody in general is so uplifting, it's a good song to just dance along to...anyone who's seen the video knows just how FUNNY it is, and it enhances the song in my eyes.
people call them sell outs, but so what? i think they sound just as good as they used to, so what if they have more fans and more MONEY now? sure, they can sometimes be a little repetitious (the goonies r good enough sounds almost exactly like their cover of the Neverending story theme in the first 5 seconds), but their original songs make you love them all the more. |
