Pat Mcgee Band – Eligy For Amy Lyrics 22 years ago
What a lovely song. There are some songs when the lyrics really speak to you and they can stand on their own. Obviously, the lyrics are what the song is truly about, but it would not be the beautiful work that it is without the melancholy piano--what an excellent combination.

Dispatch – Open Up Lyrics 22 years ago
I had not made a connection to Jesus with this song, and actually I don't really think it is about Jesus. But after reading the lyrics, I can certainly see similarities to Jesus' persecution and crucifixion. Music is all about how a given song speaks to you, and just because schleisse and big eyed phish don't see it as pertaining to Jesus, I don't see how that gives you the right to bash skygrlzz's interpretation of it. I know that this is an open forum and you can say what you want, but I imagine if mad braddigan knew what was going on, he'd tell you to lay off and let the song speak to her however it may.

Dispatch – Flying Horses Lyrics 22 years ago
I think the catcher in the rye interpretation is excellent, and the flying horses carousel on the vineyard probably plays into it too. By the way, catcher in the rye is one of the best books I've ever read, and any young person who knows what it's like to have a hard time owes it to themselves to read it. Rugger854, I know that all the band members of dispatch went to middlebury college, but I'm not necessarily refuting your statement about new hampshire. Was it similar to phish where they went to two colleges (uvm and goddard)? let me know, I'd be interested if you know more.
