Even your mother is a crook
But if I get a closer look
There’s shit on every road you took
If you don’t believe me, read your book
is wrong, last line of it should be:
If you don't believe me, look at your foot,
corresponding beautifully with the guys lyrics, 'look at your hand'. |

'red little girl' - would refer to the child possibly being flushed and posdsibly slightly sunburnt on her face, this imagery can then be seen in the 'orange old man' - orange fake tan, possibly in a sad attempt to make himself look younger and more attractive.
The idea of him taking her somewhere 'safe' means it could have been someone who the girl or family trusted, 'and of course its a lie', shows it should have been obvious not to trust him.
The next few lines about aging could be because of her remembering the abuse as she grows older, and how the things she has learnt with him, have followed her through the years. Her smile becoming 'wider' could be seen as it becoming fake. 'Past getting brighter' shows thing are getting worse in her life, although this happened to her as a child, she still views her childhood through rose tinted glasses and is nostalgic towards her, where as now as an adult she feels lost.
The repetition of the words 'she's coming' gives the idea of an orgasm, which is where the main feeling of sexual abuse comes from, rather than the man just abducting her.
The short centre verse is the denial of other people towards what is happening to the girl, and then blaming the little girl for being abused (coz little 4 years olds are just sooooo sexy- not!)
The heat of the day originally described in the girls face can be again seen when describing her veins, as the bloodvessels expand so are more visable.
The old man laughing shows how many peadophiles show no remorse, and they tend to act very happily to show how 'fun' it is, so the child is encouraged to join in.
Lastly, its the voice of the parent, thinking their child is safe, but in fact, when the parent isnt there, the 'trusted' old man has control of the child. |

its about the kates partner (maybe not specifically her) going through a hard time, but kate wishes she could change places with her partner and since she loves them so much she would get through that hard time 'running up that hill', not coz shes stronger but in a way, her love would give her the strength. Basically she wishes she could help them, but cant. |

i just think its about his past, and what it has made him capable of, because in the 1st verse he refers to himself as a child, and like other people throughout the song. I think its trying to say, if you'd gone through what he'd gone thru...you be angry too. |

this song is about self injury, its the only way to go 'last resort' before suicide, 'mutilation out of sight' showing he is hiding it from everyone 'cut my arm bleeding' the essence of self harm, and also no one notices 'wish somebody wud just tell me i'm fine', and the insanity you feel with it. |

i think they are being sarcastic in this song 'i wish you well', and the singer is not actually JoJ, they mean it like death orsomthing, and its the girl slipping away, her boyfriend doesn't sound abusive 'hes not brave enough', just maybe low self asteem as well, so they are both hurting, but she just gives up to dying |
