this song is great. i'm sure most of you have your own occasion that it makes you think of. to me it's like this guy loves his girl but he just can't stay, something's taking him away... his independence, having to move, whatever, it's just something. i was listening to it with my guy before i had to go somewhere and we knew i wouldn't hear from him for a few weeks cuz by the time i got home he'd be somewhere else as well... so it reminds me of him. |

i personally think this song sucks. even if it was a white person, it would be just stupid as all hell. i love all sorts of types of music... but really, this song is just blah. might have a good beat to dance to, but i'm sick of it. overplayed. there are other ways to express self-love, like just showing how happy you are with being you... i'm happy with me, and i don't need to masturbate. its great that she's become unsuicidal and what not, but really, couldn't she thought of a less annoying way to express it? just my opinion. |

i agree with emopunkfan... and it has the potential of bringing you down... but it doesn't, which is awesome. i love songs that are like that. "waste" by phish is another song like this for me... that just lets me know it's out there for me, i just have to wait... time will bring that perfect guy to me. he's out there. |

a few months ago i had a friend that died in a car accident... and a little bit after that, i listened to this song for the first time. ever since it has reminded me of her. even when things are bad, you can't just stop being free and being happy... i know it may not be the most common view of the song, but i can't shake how it reminds me of her whenever i hear it. i like it... makes me feel like, it's all right that she's gone. i've just gotta keep doing my thing and remember her, but not let go of my own innocence because something tragic happened... do i make any sense? |
