Desperation is a song about never looking back. It's not about a person or a belief, but about a feeling and about a moment. Desperation is something that I never want to experience again, and hopefully I'll never have to. After making it through, I realized just how close I had come to losing everything. After that, the damaging feeling was dead to me.
