Coolio – C U When U Get There Lyrics 22 years ago
Coolio had the most soul and was probably the most unique rapper who ever lived. In a world full of ICP, Snoop Dogg, and other talentless slores, this song is just an example of what rap CAN be, and that is a song with emotion, meaning, and a awesome overall sound. He's saying that in order to succeed, you have to take a step up in what you believe in and ride your horse through all your troubles.

Props to one of the best rap songs in history.

If you don't believe in God, you can't go to heaven. And in essence, if you don't believe in Satan, you can't go to hell. How can god send you somewhere you don't even believe in? People who believe in neither of them don't go to hell, they just disapper forever, and thats good enough for me...

Someone stopped in at where I work yesterday and asked us to hand out little books about god/christ to our customers. I went on to tell him that he was hypocritical by showing off his religion, to give the idea that it is superior to everyone else's beliefs, it is a hypoctitical action condemned in the bible and I refused his request. Christians are taught to pray by themselves, in their own corners, and discover god on their own. In my opinion anyone who "leads people to christ" are just looking for gratification for themselves.

About that how we are the future stuff. That's right. I'm 18 btw. I'm a believer of the idea that we grow up to become our parents. I've seen it so many times. Everyone I know my age who has a brain seem to think that the world is full or corruption and politics. And no matter what we think now, we will grow up to be exactly like our fathers or mothers, it's the only way we know how to be. We were raised with what THEY told us about the world. 10 years down the road, we'll look back on this time and be like "damn i thought i knew everything".

Like the song implies when it says "There’s got to be more to life than this
There’s got to be more to everything
I thought exists", we think to ourselves that the world is destroyed beyond repair, and we wonder why the politicians don't quit scamming and the gangs quit killing. We look at it all and think "is this it? this is what i have to look forward to for the rest of my life? violence and corruption?" That is one root of depression. I'm depressed because that's exactly how I see everything.

I see adults with 2 possible theories:

1. They are ignorant, blinded by the word and subliminal messages, unable to see how distraught society has become. They are just drones who do the same thing every day for 50 years oblivious.

2. They are smarter than we take them for. They've learned through life that either they can't fix everything or there's nothing to fix so they've made peace with it.

I'm kinda going toward the second theory. I think we'll all grow up ald realize that we're blowing this whole thing out or proportion, because they were kids once too, and they got it all figured out.

Ok nuff with my rambling philosophy, good day :)

First stanza: A school getting shot up. If it's Columbine or not it doesn't matter.
Second stanza: A girl prostitutes herself because she needs love.
Third stanza: Just a kid who wanted to rebel just like all the other kids, though he still wouldn't fit in and wanted to end it.

It's a story about what's wrong with todays youth all together, it's not talking about one event. Somewhere along the line, society seriously screwed up. The last few lines indicate that adults try to blame these tragedies on certain things, such as video games, but they really have no idea where it's all gone wrong, hence the line "It’s the blind leading the blind".

The lyrics in this song are supposed to be taken in perspective of a kid. When he says "I’m tired of all the lies
Don’t nobody know why", he's talking about how adults try to explain these tragedies to kids, but kids still can't make sense of why it happens at all.

This a song that is geared toward adults basically giving them the message: "you really did it this time".

Creed – What's This Life For Lyrics 23 years ago
I agree with myownprison333. It is obvious that these songs come from the soul. The sound they make and the lyrics aren't just something that money guzzling writers just think up. There was alot of effort put into this whole album, that is proof alone that they are not "sell-outs".
