Tim needs to make some more songs with just him and a piano, if i ever see the Good Life in concert and they play this song, i can only imagine how many people would be in tears by the end. This song is so depressing and so beautiful, i can only imagine that it'd be incredibley hard to sing for Tim. |

okay, i'm wondering this, did they break up, are they on a break, or not. cuz i went to the warped tour in Indianapolis, and they were supposed to be there and weren't and it really sucks because they were one of the bands i really really wanted to see. Wow, this really is a great Coldplay song, i love the lyrics. The first time i heard it i listened to it over and over again. And yah, after seeing the video, it does add a new spin on the lyrics like Traumattizing said. I think this song could be about a relationship ending that you put a lot into or someone that you trusted a lot and at the end wanting to start over again and not do something wrong. Like in the beggining saying "You don't know how lovely you are, I had to find you, Tell you I need you, Tell you I set you apart, Tell me your secrets, And ask me your questions," Is like finding someone that you get along with really well and you want to find out everything you can about them. and the chorus could mean regretting breaking up and wanting to go back to the relationship. and i think the greatest line in the whole song is "Tell me you love me, Come back and haunt me, " It reminds like if someone died (video reference) you coudl think of all the good times you shared with them and how they can almost haunt you because you can never have any more moments like that, and you'll just want to go back to the start, or have them again. And the ending really is great. Yah so thats how i feel about the song. |

i love this song, it just sounds really cool and relaxing and stuff. and what drietovenares was talking about what Thom said for Street Spirit is at www.followmearound.com in the lyrics section, it has an interview with him, and he also says that when he plays the song live it drains him and he can't be emotional attached to it or elsed he'd break. but anyway, i love HTTT and this song. |

This song is beautiful, its so great and amazing life, but so are most songs by them. The intro is great, the lyrics are great, i love On A Wire, the lyrics are really well done. I still like Something To Write Home About more though, but Damn this song, and every other one from On A Wire are really well done. |

i agree with b-rad that this song has to deal with his child hood and questioning religion and what he was taught as a kid.
