I agree they have grown since Opposite but I think they were more RAW and Harsher and Jeffs words were more soothingly un-intertwined that it made everything fit. Dont get me wrong they are still even MORE kick ass i just personally LOVE songs off of Opposite over Red |

I have to agree Poison the Well is fucking kick ass. How Jeff goes from screaming to beauty astounds me. Me and my friends band signer split the vocals for their version of "Today" and I got the screaming part and OMG my voice was dead I dont know HOW he does it. I think they arent human.... |

I think this song is a lot about what BleedingSoul said but along with the feelings of being trapped or locked in this world (here comes the 12/23/93 locker combination?) Listening to this song for the first time I think this song is a lot about not "swallowing" the lies that eevrything will be ok because in doing that you are only setting yourself up for the fall of "sliced wrists and closed doors" And to keep in mind that everything CAN go to shit by your actions. And finally to watch what you say and how you say it because it could kill a memory. |

This song is one of PTWs best SERIOUSLY, Ive barely begun listening to PTW more and they are going to have a show coming up near where i live and NOW im going to go see them.
This song has meant SOO much to me, I dedicated it to my gf and everytime we talk i sing her a new line. Its totally how i feel about her, and shes not much of a screamo fan more of a weezer roadie but she still enjoys this song. PTW is truly a great band that ANYONE and EVERYONE can agree on. |

Besides the fact that PTW is one of THE best bands I have heard in a REALLY long time, I think this song has so many different meanings. I think one of them (more obvious) is the whole suicide ordeal. "When you read this/ I will not be the same" Im not no psychologist but this whole song sounds like a suicide letter, from the sun going out (blackness=death) to the disowning which is associated with leaving aka death.
Thats just MY take on the song. a FUCKING bad ass song none the less. |
