System of a Down – Suite-Pee Lyrics 23 years ago
Well, this board seems to be free of ImIranian, my mortal enemy... makes it less fun in a way. Anyway, lots of good points since last time I was here. The song is pretty damn cool sounding.

Peanut butter and jelly go well together, in fact, they're commonly used in conjunction...

I would like to self righteously note at this point that I've read both the Qu'ran and most of the Bible.
And the Bible itself speaks of the following of Christ evolving into the falling of Christ. Are you gonna call the Bible Anti-Christian? Just a note.

Rephrasing what I posted earlier, (I was tired then) I think the song is basically referring to the fact that nothing is perfect, 'holy' or not. I honestly have a hard time believing that this song is an Anti Christianity themed song, as Armenia (Where most of the band's heritage is) is a predominantly Christian nation. Now, I'm not trying to say System is a Christian band, but I don't think they'd write a song with the intent of talking down any religion.

And by the way, Im Iranian, you have a few valid points. The church DOES use Jesus to get money. But for what? to tell more people about Jesus... Only the corrupt part of the church uses money improperly. But not EVERYTHING is a scam, you know... if politics were a scam, you wouldn't have the chance to be sitting here telling everyone that their beliefs are lies, either because you don't believe them or you can't answer for them... You'd probably be a politician.

I think this song is not Anti-Church or Anti-Christian, instead, I believe it is a sort of play on words with a female Jesus, and referring to the church as a 'philosophy'. "Lie naked on the floor and let the messiah flow through your soul" obviously has something to do with sex, as does the next line, "I want to fuck my way to the garden" These are saying something like "When angels deserve to die" in Chop Suey... It's personification of 'holy' things in an earthly, flawed (as everything earthly is), scope. And I'm not going to name my own personal religion here, but it's no form of Christianity. But Im Iranian did say some dumbass things that warrant an apology.

Props to foreign man for saying what I was just about to say... My favortite part of this song is, "Gaining Independence, Gaining Independence" Smart people outsmart each other then themselves is a great saying to base your life on, as it is quite true. And i'm tired, so therefore I ramble.

System of a Down – P.L.U.C.K. Lyrics 23 years ago
P.L.U.C.K. is lyrically the most true, powerful song I've ever heard. Musically, it kicks ass. Enough said right there, but I'm gonna keep going long enough to say that System of a Down is one of the greatest groups OF ALL TIME, and this is among their best songs, so...

This song, simply put, defines romance. I write poetry, I wish I could write half as good as this song, I worship whatever it was that inspired Ben to write this song.

I, personally like, this song. It seems to me that not many people do, but I like it because I know the feeling, being rebellious one moment, then being rebelled against. This is a really good piece of work with a decent sound to it.
