| I think this song is about a relationship where two people are in love, and the woman (Gwen Stefani) in the relationship is telling the man to stop questioning their love. She is saying that they shouldn't read into it too much, but to take it for what it is. Like, they've made it this far, so stop trying to question it, i.e. "rock"-ing it. She's just glad they've met, she's not looking much farther into the future than that. She believes the love won't last, even though she hopes it will. She also seems to believe that their love goes up and down between problems and being just fine-"steady"-and that a real love can overcome even the biggest problems. I think this song is about her hopes that their love can survive the "rock steady vibe"-the not so steady, more or less turbulent times. | |
