| Ben Harper – Waiting On An Angel Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| obviously this song is about dying, but i like to also see it as waiting for that one person that will make your life complete and therefore, death all that more bareable, i like this song b/c that's where i find myself, "waiting on an angel" b/c "i don't want to go alone" | |

| just another note to further prove my point b/c as of now, i got nothing else to do, but bob dylan is prob the most influential lyrrical(spelled right?) genius of all time, his songs and lyrics are insane, that's just my opinion, but i prefer the foo fighters simpler lyrics over dylan's b/c their music simply rocks... | |
| Foo Fighters – Everlong Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this prob sounds stupid, but i hate when a top ten list of greatest songs of all time is ever brought up b/c i think that's just simply impossible to come up with, there's way too much amazing music out there to where it can't be compressed into some top ten list, and besides, it's all opinionated anyway, a song should be judged on the way it makes u feel when u listen to it, whenever u get too technical over the makeup of a song, u tend to lose some of it's authenticity, for instance, i'm sure everyone will agree that jimi hendrix was a musical genius and a much better guitarist then dave grohl, but i get more feeling listening to everlong then to voodoo child, even though that song is so much more complicated and ridiculous in its technical makeup, i could care less if u thought n'sync is a better musical group than the beatles for instance, as long as u get more feeling out of their music, alright, maybe that's too much but u get the point (man, i don't know what the hell i just wrote, hopefully somebody else will)sorry for getting carried away and sounding too preachy, i think i'm on crack right now... i love the foo fighters, anyone know when their next cd is coming out that's been talked about?... | |
| Toadies – Dollskin Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I hope someone knows the meaning of this song b/c I don't have a clue, but my first guess would be about some guy who molestes his daughter or something, I'm sorry if that sounds fucked up, but so are a lot of the Toadies' songs, either way, I still think this is one of the Toadies far best, It's so amazingly powerful, and no one else could ever sing it like Todd, I can only listen to this song when i'm in a bad mood or a bit depressed b/c it always brings me down, but at least it makes you feel something, nothing like a lot of shit music that's out there... no offense, but the only good rap song is "Gangsta's Paradise" and N'sync, backstreet boys, and any other boy pop bands should never have been formed, and despite Britney Spear's hottness, her music sucks ass too... what are these people doing to music? no wonder so many people have to skip back a generation or two to listen to top quality music, with an exception of a few bands... sorry for getting off topic, but it's true... | |
| Toadies – Tyler Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I don't understand why there aren't that many posts, even though I just started to listen to Toadies a few months ago, I love this band and I'm hooked, and I'm so pissed they broke up before I could see them in concert... anyway, about this song, "Tyler" is i'm pretty sure about a prowler in Tyler, Texas, and the reason it sounds so much like "Where is my mind?" is most likely b/c Todd Lewis was inspired by it, in the Toadies cover of it, Todd says that he owes a lot to this pretty good Pixies song... i don't know if this is creepy or not, but whenever i hear the lines "i stumble in the hallway, outside her bedroom door, i hear her call out to me, i hear the fear in her voice", i get the biggest chills, b/c i love those lines, if u forget everything else written in the song, it almost sounds as if it's about two people about to make love for the first time, sounds gay, but it always gets me feeling lonely... alright, enough talk, sorry for the long post, just that i'm so obsessed with the Toadies, too bad they're done... another note, if anyone else is crazed like me, just to let you know, Todd Lewis is now currently in another band called Burden Brothers, may be something to look out for... | |
