It's about someone who doesn't really like him but stays around just to keep him happy, but its had the opposite effect instead. They tell him what he wants to hear ("you feed me orchids...") but they're actually planning how to ditch him. The line "I never learn" implies that it keeps happening to him and he falls for it every time. Great song, Stone Sour are amazing. |

Excellent lyrics, especially the line 'This isn't me I'm not mechanical...' almost as if he's speaking for the kids who are accused of following Manson like sheep. For the record, I hate to say it but some Manson fans are dumb. But the intelligent ones more than make up for the idiots. This is a great song, the whole of Mechanical Animals is fantastic.
'I am never gonna be the one for you.
I am never gonna save the world from you.'
He's saying that despite the number of people who worship him (ironic?), he's not going to save them. The world is their enemy, not him and he can't do anything to stop kids commiting suicide, regardless of what parents might think. people are too quick to place the blame on the nearest controversial person in the media, in this instance, Manson. |

The way he repeats the verses is kinda spooky. Repeating verses is commonly used in nursery ryhmes, most nursery rhymes repeat verses, as it's simple to read and to understand for children.
I might get a lot of stick for this but Manson is a lyrical genius and his lyrics are highly underrated because of his image. It's sad, because he truly is one of the best, if not THE best lyricist of our generation, along with Eminem (people will debate that too). |

she isn't anything totally new or original, but it doesn't matter because it's GOOD. it's a good song, it has been done before but not by mainstream artists, and in some caes, not as well as this. AND she's only 16. |

it's not about adoption...i highly doubt amy studt has given up a baby for adoption. you can interpret it as that i suppose, but to me it's obviously about loving someone so much, but realising that breaking up with them is the right thing to do. i can totally relate to this song. |

the "some children died the other day..." line is referring to the way the media handled the columbine incident. america fed the corporate machine then they prayed for the victims, he saying that its all wrong. they shouldnt have faith in the american government. "you should have seen the ratings that day" - showing that america has the wrong approach to tragedies like this. they just plaster it all over TV in order to get the ratings, they dont actually care about the victims, they just want the gory details. |

although this is a cover of the eurythmics song, its still a very dark song - the original was kinda poppy, and like a lot of songs, people got the meaning wrong (every step you take by sting, is about a stalker, people layed it at their weddings, imagine by john lennon is about communism, etc etc). its very suggestive. i think its about the dark side of love, the pain it often brings. sweet dreams are made when you love someone, but sometimes they use you, they abuse you, they want to be used and they want to be abused - its about masochism, in a nutshell. |
