the masturbation thing makes me laugh at how typical it is of people to interpret this song as today...we are such a sexually driven culture that EVERYTHING has to be twisted into some stupid shit involving sex. i believe that this song is about the sinfulness of human nature, and an addiction that is hard to stop....whether it be lying, stealing, whatever you want it to be..i don't think david was being specific about it...anyway...i believe this song is about how "ridiculous" it is that our own psyche's are not capable of stopping things we know are wrong. how ridiculous...it's true. |
