| Modest Mouse – Wild Packs of Family Dogs Lyrics

it's not necessarily about religion. its about dealing with death in the family. his dad "shooting his gun to scare off the dogs" is just avoiding death, like chemotherapy or something. his dog being taken away, his sister being eaten up, etc, is him dealing with their passing. |

I think this song is about miscarriages, maybe abortions. I'm definitely wrong, but thats how I see it since I'm not exactly a sentimental emo pussy. The parents realize after the abortion that they'll see the child again.
Either that or, just a big metaphor for how the universe around us is a microcosm for life. |

I thought it was good.. until she started singing. She has a good band.
The best preformance was by Sum 41 in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of them but they rocked. |

Too bad Danzig and Graves both left the misfits.. leaving us with less than great live shows. In the words of my photo teacher.. the misfits might be good now, but back then, they were GODS. lol |

I'm too lazy to see if someone else mentioned this, but I have an opinion of what the song means.
Karma is supposed to be a sort of payback for your actions.. maybe this is a song about the "what goes around comes around" saying. Except, there are no solid rules for karma, and you will be punished if the rest of society doesn't agree with you. |

One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest seems a bit too soft of a movie for a Metallica song, doesnt it?.. It would make more sense if the song was about the book, which instead takes the point of view of the indian who only pretends to be deaf and dumb. He does this because he doesn't want to conform with the rest of the institute or anyone else. Makes sense. |

Maybe its about an afterlife.. what its supposed to be like in heaven. Or maybe its his human perception of heaven, a dream he has about what it SHOULD be. Or.. 'jump in the river, what did I see?'.. maybe he tried to kill himself and then sees his afterlife. |

Calm down guys.. its not the greatest thing ever created..
I like the song but it's my duty to be as arrogant as possible.
The song means nothing much more than choosing to live your life in a free-spirited manner. It's catchy, but the guitar and drum work are definitely not on par. The Vocals are fantastic but the backup vocals just dont fit with this song. It doesn't accomplish anything new, its just another song that works great on the radio. The CD was pretty good, but it has its problems. Then again, who doesn't?
System of a Down doesn't :) |

I think the line "She dreams in color, she dreams in red" is just an ironic little line thats saying "She can see everything, once you narrow it down to red." In other words, she can only focus on one man but knows there are others there for her. |

I always seem to dl songs that are on the #1 list in songmeanings.. and I'm always let down. You can have energy while playing songs like this. And you can have a band. Its really not that bad. I prefer Dashboard Confessional. If you really want great lyrics, check out From Autumn To Ashes. Theyre a REALLY loud band but the lyrics make this stuff look like the Partridge Family. |

I don't like this.. the song is too boring. The lyrics aren't as good as you guys are crediting them for, but they are pretty swell. If lyrics matter to you this much, listen to From Autumn To Ashes, Tool or System of a Down. |

Metalheads..
The song is good because this is one of the few funk-metal bands out there that can get the pace and dynamics right. They hit a really good goal this time. I dont know why so many people like their music old.. (e. g. I LOVE OZZY! NEW KORN SUX! GUNS N' ROSES!) To me rock will keep getting better every year. To me this is the best track they ever put out. The lyrics are OK to say the least. There is no real meaning to most of their songs other than depression. They might get a little complicated over what kind of depression, but basically they have a good sum of albums that would make Jim Carrey depressed if listened to front to back. All you people should check out In Flames, S. O. A. D., Spineshank, 30odd08, etc. I'm more punk, thought, so I might be all wrong here. |

I disagree with all of you. Well, I'm probably wrong, but it's what I think. The first few times I heard this track I kept thinking of my friends older brother, who died at age 22. He was mentally disabled since birth.
Hey you, see me, pictures crazy,
All the world I've seen before me passing by,
I've got, nothing, to gain, to lose,
All the world I've seen before me passing by,
What I think he's saying is how retarded people only see the world passing by them and cannot interact with it like everyone else they see. Also, it tells about how people only see the outside of the person, not the actual mind inside. Even if thats wrong, I think it suits me well. That's the beauty of most S. O. A. D. tracks; they're mostly open ended and can be percieved personally. |
