311 – Rub A Dub Lyrics 22 years ago
It's the perfect kickback song, right down to the suggestion that you got a choice of what you can do.

I'm just having real trouble READING these lyrics. Whoever typed them was probably engaging in 311's favorite hobby, if you know what I mean. ;)

Dave Matthews Band – Where Are You Going (Busted Stuff version) Lyrics 23 years ago
Dave himself said that he felt the song was a cross between "Crush" and "Crash Into Me", and I think that nails its feel perfectly. This one belongs right up there with "I'll Back You Up" and "Lover Lay Down" for me.

Extreme – More Than Words Lyrics 23 years ago
Actually, this song has a totally different meaning to me.

To me, it resembles the relationship I'm in. A girl and I are in love with each other, but she just came out of a rocky relationship, and finds the words hard to say because they can cause trouble. In the meantime, we do everything short of saying the words to prove it to each other (except sex, it's not necessary). When she finally is ready to say them, it'll be no surprise to me because I already know it's true. However, it's at that point that our relationship will change shape and both of us will be more serious.

That should nail the first verse and chorus dead on, right?

Dave Matthews Band – Long Black Veil (Lefty Frizzell cover) Lyrics 23 years ago
Well... It's Cash's song now anyway. I see that oe216 was right. But Cash was the one who popularized it.

I can tell you this. It was performed by Matthews and Emmy Lou Harris at the "Johnny Cash Tribute" concert. It is his song originally. This cover actually spawned a Matthews/Cash collaboration as well called "For You" on the We Were Soldiers Soundtrack.

LIO – Rapture (Deep Dish Remix) and/or (Riva Remix) Lyrics 23 years ago
I can't really tell what those last two are myself. However, I think I've gotten a little closer to narrowing it down. Firstly, I'm certain she's saying "Surrender to your rapture (oh)". I also strongly believe it's "Do your hands..." rather than "Lay your hands...". Also, I don't think that word is "go", I think it's just catching the echo of the previous word and sounding like "go". Something tells me that both of those lines end in something that rhymes with "on". Try it out.
