What a beautiful song. I heard it just yesterday (everyone else seems to have discovered it about 6 months ago!) and i cried the whole way home as i was listening. I leave for college in less than 2 weeks and i am going to have to let go of someone that I know i can't carry on with anymore...and not just because I am leaving. There are other serious issues that are keeping us from having the kind of awesome relationship that we both want. We were friends for 3 years and always said 'someday'. Despite everything that occurred at the time "someday" finally arrived, we tried to be together but in the end he has bigger responsibilities that will be with him for at least 18 years and I don't fit into the circle right now. On my end, i have a whole new world ahead of me and i want so much for him to be apart of that...but another part of me knows that it can't work. Because I care more about him more than i ever have anyone else....i want us to be 100%. (I've been in too many relationships where i get LESS than what i put in andd ive learned that i deserve 100% ) My head tells me that im too young to be in a situation like this and I have so much to be excited about. he and I have had our emotional ups and downs in the situation and i always stay because I love him. But I can't stay anymore...**David-you will always be the one that i miss...thank you for showing me how it feels to be truly cared for. You are the reason i am strong enough to say goodbye. Any other time and place and you and i would have had it so easy...maybe our "someday" has yet to come afterall.... |

I heard this song on my why home the night before graduation. All that day I had been thinking about how much had changed about myslef since I was a freshman. How far I had come and how happy and scared I was to finally be at that point overwhelmed me that week. As i listend to John's lyrics that night, I could not help but think of all the memories and how I finally figured out that there IS something better on the other side.... |

What a fucking AWESOME song. The sound as a whole it just great...whether or not you can relate to the lyrics!!!! I love it! Its one of those songs that makes you wanna roll the windows down, cranck up the volume and drive about 50 over the speedlimit. |
