yeah i actually am not fluent in spanish, but in my spanish class we translated the song and I LOVE IT!!! not only the lyrics, but it's just a beautiful song with the guitars etc. and shakira's unique and amazing voice leading the way |

I think this song is just about all the different things in life that are unescapable. worries, stressors, minor/major troubles of just everyday life and it's complications are always around, and there is no way to ever escape them. even when we think that we have somehow managed to escape them, we will soon find that they are just hiding in the background (like spies...). we always suspect them to present themselves but are always happy with every moment that they keep themselves hidden and allow to enjoy life. |

this is by far one of the best songs i've heard for a while..too many songs now are just so "cookie-cutter" and there's nothing that defines them as a band any different from any other band..kudos to Hometown Hero for "eighteen" :) |
