actually Amy Lee said the song was not about Shaun Morgan but about former bandmate and ex boyfriend Ben Moody. She also said she didn't hate him, she just never wanted to talk to him again. That he was almost like a poison. Which makes sense with the you can't play the victim part of the song. I am sure he probably blaimed her for leaving the band. |

After readin all these comments I believe the song is about a new boyfriend singing to an ex.
Even if she says she wants someone new, it's not gonna be the ex. "when she breaks down and lets you down, I hope you know she doesn't mean you." I think what he is saying here is when she finally tells him that she is done with him for good he is gonna be let down. At the end when he says something about thinking it's funny when you're mad, I think he is poking fun at the ex. |
