Dir En Grey – Cage Lyrics 22 years ago
I thought when he was singing "kimi wa saigo no mama de" it meant "You stay the same way as the last" I don't think it's talking about mother or whoever, or is that just my misunderstanding? lol

Utada Hikaru – Can You Keep A Secret? Lyrics 23 years ago
This is actually the first song I've heard from Utada Hikaru since I only recently got back into listening to Jpop, it's a really poppy and fun song. Not too much of a "deep" meaning to it, but I do'nt think the song writer wrote with a hidden message in mind. The video's really amusing as well, I didn't get the concept until near the end, lol

Hoobastank – Remember Me Lyrics 23 years ago
This is my favorite song off of Hoobastank's cd. There's something about this song that I think, everyone can easily relate to. Not about being famous and having the person act like that, but how you probably know someone who is like that meaning, if you have something they don't, they start treating you nicer, but if not, then you don't exist in their lives.

Nirvana – Come As You Are Lyrics 23 years ago
I'm not sure what to think on this debate of "Was Kurt Murdered? Was it Suicide"? But as others have already said in this discussion, he's not coming back either way, so why not just let a sleeping dog lie? I mean, justice is good, except if you were pointing fingers in the wrong directions and at the wrongly accused people, it'll ruin their lives, may already have. All I'm saying is, just don't believe all the info that's out there unless you knew the people involved first hand and have the right and the knowledge to make a biased opinion on Kurt's death.

I've gone to the cobaincase.com and the justiceforkurt.com, they have made very good points, though the people who made the site didn't necessarily have doctors comment or those of that proffessional field to really say officially that Kurt, under no circumstances couldn't have shot himself after he shot himself up with heroin.

I personally, have never heard anyone claim EDDIE VEDDER as a possible reason for Kurt's death, I mean that has GOT to be the stupidest suggestion I've ever heard. I mean, come on! Just thinking about it sounds unbelievable.

I think that we should just try to move on with our lives on this issue, if justice is in the future, then it will come sooner than later.

Puddle of Mudd – She Hates Me Lyrics 23 years ago
I think the whole thing about "dont even BEGIN to compare PoM to Nirvana because they're nothing next to Nirvana!" is getting old, i mean, why make comparisions to the two? They're both great bands, they both make great music, what's there to argue about? I love Nirvana, and I admit, I didn't get into their music until a couple of years ago, though I don't think the reason why Nirvana became so "immortal" in the grunge music scene is not because of what happened to Kurt but because of the music they made. They broke through barriers for other grunge artists, they finally got the grunge artists recognized for who they were ---music artists. And I don't think Vh1 would have used that excuse, that Nirvana only became famous because of a death when they named "Smells Like Teen Spirit" the GREATEST song of the decade. (And it's noteable to say, Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" came in 7th WOO! lol)

I admit, this song takes a while to get used to, when I first saw the video on tv I was like "Oh geez, PoM became a sell out, what a bunch of bullshit.." Then a couple of times over that I heard the song on the radio, I got used to it, then it became better, and better until it was..well, GREAT! lol. I still don't like the video though, a little too...rainbow-ish for me.

The lead singer of PoM DOES have a teensy tiny voice resemblance to Kurt Cobain, but not much, I still think Kurt Cobain is a musical god :)

Hanson – MMMBop Lyrics 23 years ago
Thank you -=TiedToTheTracks=- for saying exactly what was on my mind (and giving me nothing else to say in my post! lol j/k) I think that this song which made them a house hold name at that time, also is what led to their downfall. I'll be the first to admit, the groups i liked maybe 5 years ago I am even embarassed to admit I even liked, isn't it the same for everyone? Though Hanson really has grown up since the MMMbop days and since most people are too thick in the head to give them another chance, they simply don't.

I've listened to "This Time Around" cd, and I have to say, one of THE best cds out there, if not THE best (well..if Pearl Jam didn't exist they would be but..hell they're way up they're on my list! lol) and it's sad to see that it was a flop, money wise.

It's stupid being tied down to a label they've gotten after 4/5 years, I mean, they've grown so much since then, why do people consistently have to remind them about their past, their past is what made them who they are today.

Whoever says the Hansons look like girls need to GROW UP. Seriously. It's about the music, not the face that's singing it. Would you really listen to something that sounded like 10 cats being strangled in a bag just because the person who's singing it was the most drop dead gorgeous person in the world? For the first couple of times you might, but after a while it just gets old.

This song I admit, I hate and I never listen to, though they have proved themselves respect-worthy on their "This Time Around" cd, and anyone not willing to listen to that cd because of their biased opinion on this song, are ones who won't make it far in life.

KoЯn – Thoughtless Lyrics 23 years ago
Wonderful song, the first time I heard it I had goosebumps on my skin because in a way I can relate to this song so much because I've been through so much sh*t in my life that I'd rather not have to repeat, and this song explains the anger and isolation I felt at the time

Norah Jones – Don't Know Why Lyrics 23 years ago
I have no idea why, but the first time I heard this song, it was like hearing nails across a blackboard, I find her voice..annoying.

Lifehouse – Breathing Lyrics 23 years ago
If i thought about it for a bit, it would make sense for the song to be about god, although usually I just listen to the song and not try to cross-examine it to find the real meaning, lol.

Silverchair – Ana's Song (Open Fire) Lyrics 23 years ago
Someone already mentioned before but to kind of cement the meaning, people sometimes call Anorexia "Ana", as they would Bulimia "Mia"

Silverchair – Anthem for the Year 2000 Lyrics 23 years ago
I've only listened to it a couple of times, the video is great, though the song title kinds of limit it from being played after the year 2000, lol

The Goo Goo Dolls – Here Is Gone Lyrics 23 years ago
I think I read somewhere that this song is about having a person in your life, that really doesn't need to be there. I love the song, though it's kinda hard to get the meaning out of that song

TLC – Unpretty Lyrics 23 years ago
I think that this song gives off a positive vibe in ways that, by changing your outer appearance for others around you, are you fullfilling what you want? Is changing what you look like for somebody else make you truly happy? Your outer self may give you temporarily release from grief for time, though eventually all your problems will only come back, sometimes, in double fold.

Pearl Jam – Jeremy Lyrics 23 years ago
I think that why this song was so effective in making people pay attention was because of the reason that the song directly didn't talk about what the song was based on, rather it gave hints that make you think as to what the song could be about. I know that if I hadn't seen the video I probably wouldn't have any idea what the song was talking about, lol

Pearl Jam – Daughter Lyrics 23 years ago
I never knew the song was about dyslexia, when I searched up for the meaning of this song it was always answered with "it's a song about child abuse", hm...though maybe it could be about both.

Pearl Jam – Black Lyrics 23 years ago
One of the best love songs if not the best love song of our generation. The last 2 lines I think effected the song greatly (in a good way), because I admit, the first time through that I heard this song, it was a big disappointment to me, my friends were raving about how it was such a great song, and I guess I had this image set up of what a great song would be, and it was nothing as I'd imagined it. Though nearing the end the last two lines were sang and I thought "wow". Lines like those only add proof that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Nickelback – Too Bad Lyrics 23 years ago
The video could probably be seen in most music stations, if you live in Canada, you could probably see it on MuchMusic, if in America more times than not you could probably catch it on MTV. It's a really good video, it's very different from the videos that are out now, and has meaning beneath the song, which is hard to find now adays with all the NSYNC crap being played.

Lifehouse – Hanging By A Moment Lyrics 23 years ago
I think that there isn't really any point in trying to pick this song into pieces and criticize it for every little mistakes, all songs have mistakes, however little they may be. I for one, like this song although I believe it's not Lifehouse's best song. If anyone has a chance to check out Lifehouse's cd, listen to "Unknown" and "Breathing", those in my opinion, are the best songs on the album

The Calling – Wherever You Will Go Lyrics 23 years ago
What you said may be true about the band being made up to just make money, though I think they are in a higher rank above Britney Spears and other horrible pop artists who just sing someone else's songs and rank in millions for their paychecks. At least the Callings write their own songs

Pearl Jam – Alive Lyrics 23 years ago
I loved this song fromthe first time I had heard it, though I was a bit shocked when I found out the meaning behind the song, I had no idea that it was about what it's about, lol. Still, one of the classics from the album "ten"

Simple Plan – I'm Just A Kid Lyrics 23 years ago
I'm loving this song, I think that there are many hit songs today but very little who actually last as soon as the fad is over. This is one of them that'll last, because I think songs that you can relate to will make it in the long run rather than some *ahem* sucky songs that are at the top of the charts today.
