Look, people who complain about Staind 'whining' have no idea what they're talking about. Be in a position like Aaron for a little while, and you'll see that it's not complaining. He has to get rid of tension somehow, he chose music. If 'It's Been Awhile' hadn't been a hit, no one would have said anything about them being 'commercial'. And about them going to 'boring' music...Aaron wasn't into heavy stuff, he liked folk as a kid. CSN and stuff. As for the song meaning, I think it's about wanting a person you could never have because they keep pushing you away and making you feel horrible about yourself, and then realizing that the person is just as bad a person as you, and you're better without them. |

I usually don't like to bash other peoples opinions...but it seems to me only one person has any idea what they're talking about. It's about depression, and about how some event started it. He just wants to forget what happened and move on, but, he can't forget. He knows what will happen if he dwells, and he doesn't want it to happen anymore. So, he turns to other forms of escape (i.e. from depression to anger). He won't take his own life, so he's 'Here to stay'. And the 9/11 reference was completely stupid... |

Most people aren't anti-Christian, we're anti-Church. The Church has shown before to not be a particularly trustworthy body. The have a tendency to use the people, just to get money. Look at the Pope. He may not have any money, but he wears gold all the time and the Vatican is one of the richest places in the world. Now tell me how Christian that is? |

I'm pretty sure that this is a more religious song. Dealing with the Christian religion on a whole, that it basically brainwashes you into believing whatever they feel like telling you. And the 'You made the weapons for us all' is about God giving us the ability to make decisions, and look how we messed that up. |
