| Our Lady Peace – Sorry Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Gravity. OLP seems to have to have one of these sort of songs in every CD. They have Hope in Naveed, 4am and Automatic Flowers and Clumsy in Clumsy, Annie and Happiness in Happiness, and Are You Sad and Life in Spiritual. |

| Our Lady Peace – Hope Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Its a wierd song for me. This is my second favourite song right now, behind Not Enough. The thing with this is I know a girl with the name Hope, and the personification of it I can relate to. It has a sort of double-meaning for me. I could just imagine her climbling atop of a piano, and I know I'd be one to try to help her when she's slipping. However, this is about losing hope, personified or not. The man says hope is crazy, but he obviously doesn't understand her. Its interesting to listen to, at least for me. It was kind of ironic, when my old favourite song, Hopeless by Train, was replaced by this one. Although it was also quickly shifted out by Not Enough. |

| Our Lady Peace – Carnival Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Whenever life gets you down, pointless things frustrate you. Like cracks in the pavement. They mean nothing to you, but you still get annoying and angry at them. That's what it means to me after listening to it again. The line "The carnival comes back" I take symbolically. Raine is saying that no matter how bad life looks, good things will come again. You get sad when the carnival leaves, when you get thrown a curveball in the game of life, but the carnival comes back, it always does. "You know you're not a strong man". You aren't strong enough to take the things you are going through. Recently I went through some tough times and the first verse is almost like Raine is speaking to me personally. Its a good song, really good. |
