Radiohead – True Love Waits Lyrics 22 years ago
i love this song :)

...according to thom, the line *true love lives, on lollipops and crisps* [true love wins in some performances!] was based on a newspaper article he read about a little boy left at home alone for a week, and he manged to survive on lollipops and crisps...awww

this is my fave song.ever.full stop.

lol

Radiohead – Motion Picture Soundtrack Lyrics 22 years ago

Motion Picture Soundtrack
Red wine and sleeping pills
Help me get back to your arms
Cheap sex and sad films
Help me get back where I belong

I think you're crazy, maybe
I think you're crazy, maybe

Stop sending letters
Letters always get burned
It's not like the movies
They fed us on little white lies

I think you're crazy, maybe
I think you're crazy, maybe

I will see you in the next life

Original last verse not included on Kid A:

Beautiful angel
Pulled apart at birth
Limbless and helpless
I can't even recognize you
I think you're crazy, maybe (x6)

I will see you in the next life

beautiful lyric...cant believe they omitted it on the record :(

if we took this at it's most literal, i'm sure everyone would come to the same conclusion i have (because i can't think of anything more artistic or original to write!)

to me this song signifies the breakdown of self esteem after the death of a loved one.

[red wine and sleeping pills help me get back to your arms]
[i will see you in the next life]

this track, along with how to disappear... is one of the most hauntingly beautiful radiohead (indeed any band in my humble opinion) have ever written

one of my alltime faves :)

Radiohead – How to Disappear Completely Lyrics 22 years ago
liffey - the river in that runs through dublin...
according to greenplastic.com the band were playing there when thom wrote this track... he just wanted to get out of the way of the media and retreat into his own little cocoon so to speak...

that only one point of view though...hehe

i love this song, one of my faves on the album...and it's great for when u just want to sit in a darkened room on your own and contemplate life etc...

mmmmmmmm :o)
