I just came here to comment on exactly the thing that the previous poster did: that the live version of this song is incredible! Playing the melody on a piano was brilliant; and Thom's singing floats over it, hauntingly--it's just plain beautiful, to put it shortly. When I first heard the live version (off of the "I Might Be Wrong" live recordings), I didn't know what song it was until Thom started singing...and after that I was just blown away. |

Perhaps something got lost in the translation, but this doesn't look like a song to me. How exactly would onw sing a division sign, anyway? At first I thought that this artist was Autechre, as I saw "Ãé" in the name of the artist, and I thought that maybe that was another abbreviation for them (I've seen their name written as "Aet" before). |

| I believe that Thom said in an interview that the idea for this song started on tour. Whenever someone would do something not-nice, another band-member would say "be careful, or the karma police will get you". I think the song just grew out of that idea. | |

"A heart that's full up like a landfill," A heart that is filled up with all of the rubbish that this world has to offer; with television characters who aren't real, with being able to afford the next-greatest BMW you've always wanted. So full up and concerned with these things that there's no room left for any real love... |
