w/e, i really don't care
to quote tool:
"Some say a comet will fall from the sky
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits
Some say the end is near
Some say we'll see armageddon soon
I certainly hope we will cuz
I sure could use a vacation from this
Stupid shit, Silly shit, Stupid shit"

im not real sure what this song is about, but i think it has somethin to do with whats real and whats fake. he's tryin to figure out the difference between the truth and whats being advertised to us. it reminds me of a commercial or something advertising a product and how it's so great but they say all that bs just to sell the product and it's not necessarily the truth. he says how we are all stuck in between what's real and whats not (flies in the vasoline we are). |

yeah, i read the book and it's really depressing. metallica did a good job of interpreting the feelings of the main character of the book/movie

I think this song can be a love song, and it applies very well, but not necessarily. I think it is talking about making decisions with another person (probably love-related) and the speaker telling them to not worry about what others think because it's what they think that matters. |
