This song is written from my understanding after seeing the video and studying its lyrics, about the careless and errogant treatment of the ever-evolving human race towards the environment and other societies. And using the excuse of technological or evolutionary advancement. For example: pollution, global warming, rape, corruption of religious institutions (I can kill 'cause in God I trust), animal cruelty , war, nukes, overpopulation, racism (burning cross), suicide (a man jumping from a skyscraper), prostitution, corporate institutions, nazzis (concentration camps, burning bibles), the Roman Empire, slaves, cloning, urban sprawl, the death penalty, political leaders (I'm a thief, I'm a liar...), collateral damage (girl stepping on a landmine), animal testing, and ultimately total annihilation of mankind resulting from a nuke. Doesn't evolution suck. |
