| aight ive got a few things to say b4 i go crazy ( me and my friend were just talking about this today at lunch ) the first thing is just bc someone doubts the bible doesnt mean that they think everything happened by "chance" or "evolution". i believe that yes, there is a god, ( heres the second thing ) but that the bible is bullshit that was written by man to explain things. isnt that the esscence of all religion? all religion starts to answer 3 questions, - how did we get here? -where do we go when we die -why are we here?. buddhism, hinduism, islam, christianity, all those. all started by man who had a theroy, and who thought they had the answer to those 3 questions. but NO ONE has the answers. you can think you do, but you dont. and as for the bible, cant u see the similiarities between it and forms of mythology? basically the bible tells us "one day there was a flood, and noah put two of each animal on a BIG boat and it floated on the water and then god promised no more floods and THATS why we have rainbows" i mean cant u just see a bunch of men sitting around one day, or maybe just one man, wondering what those colors in the sky are and then writing a story to explain it? just like mythology. and jesus, i dont doubt that he lived, but he was not the "son of god" he was just a man that went around and preached. i dont think that believing "jesus died for your sins" is the way to get to "heaven." basically i believe that there is some kind of higher power, there has to be, but that its not in the way that everyone thinks, and that everyone of all people, of all religions share the same fate when they die, whether that be simply not existing anymore, reincarnation, or some form of heaven. the whole "being saved" thing of christianity pisses me off beyond explanation..aight im done now lol whew dont get me started on this subject!!! lol | |
