this song i can totally relate to! i get attached to some guy, they break my heart and somehow i can't get over them. so i just want some guy to sweep me off my feet so i can ditch the "former love".

i think this song is about how this guy is still in love with this girl even though they broke up. He keeps questioning why he still likes her even though she was a bitch to him. "remember what she did, don't miss her" he says how he's angry but he still can't move on. then he goes on about how "she's finding" like she's moving on and looking for other guys. then he says "can't do a thing alone. rewinding. times before, lived without it" he can't do anything without her, then he remember's he did stuff before they were together. he continues to say how he can't move on...then he starts to question if what she did was really that bad? "but u did what u did, but u did, but u did" like he couldn't forgive her for what she did. then says "please don't go" but then says "my feelings for you are lost coz we're through" he's saying he shouldn't be liking her anymore bc they are through, but he still wants to write and call her....the guy is basically confused and isn't over his ex. poor guy...great song though! |

i had never heard of this song till my now boyfriend asked me if i wanted it to be "our" song..he played a little for me and i said "yeah that sounds cute" so that night i downloaded the song so i could hear the whole thing...and of course fell in love with it! i bought the new nelly cd a few days after it came out just coz it had me and my boy's song on it! now..me and my boy have pretty much played out the song coz we both listen to it so much..coz "all i think about is you" hehe... |

I really enjoy this song..It especially reminds me of this guy i know. he would be really nice and flirt with me, then the next thing i knew he was being a total ass and ignoring me. Then he would apologize and be nice again, that messed with my mind especially since i liked him. This song reminds me of him bc i really liked him and that line "all i wanna hear is your voice" reminds me of those nights when i wanted him to call me and hear him speak to me. "all the foolish lies, i tried to compromise" speaks to me bc that's when i would go out and express my feelings to him and i would try to compromise with his reasonings to quit playing games with me. This song for me is more of an inspiration to get over the stupid guy. "don't have much time for sympathy" i don't have time to fall into your games anymore. i use it as my strength to get over him and realize he's not worth the pain anymore. Everytime i hear this song, one word comes to my mind "steven" and that's all i think about until the song is over, i feel like i am singing the song to him about how he is so juvenile and needs to get over himself and stop thinking about other girls, when i am there explaining to him how much i care for him. god, he's so dumb...anyways, i don't know if this helps anyone, all i know is it helps me get over that loser. yeah...and i hate when bands go mainstream sometimes too...i started to like blink since 1999 b4 they came too popular, now i don't feel their music is as good as their older stuff...i have started to lose a lot of interest in them, mostly because of them going mainstream and teeny boppers all into them, i will always love bliink, but not on the same level as i used to. |
