| Thursday – Mass As Shadows Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
this song blew me away the first time i heard it even though i don't think that i'll ever figure out what the fuck geoff is talking about, but here goes... You know it sounds better in the long run, where your words and symbols stack up into the night. Hands are broken, folded like a steeple of my own symbol. The song is the same, A simple word transcribed to hold your faith. (ooh your faith.) We mass as shadows, light as dust silent to further the days Hold your frown. . . ...(i think this is comparing how music and religion are alike and how both can have such an importance in your life to the point where you you feel your life has been saved. but at the same time i think that geoff is unhappy with religion because he didn't find what he was looking for so he turned to music.)... I know it sounds better, but there's only so many things I want. So we read between the lines, the song is the same as every sun. Touched every sunrise on your face, that reminds us that spring will kill summer nights to get through. The winter days, swaying with daylight away from harm All alone, where I, I rome. . . ...(you have to find music/religion to save you because the rest of the world will relvolve and go about its natural cycle without any regards to you even if you are lost and all alone)... When you can't sing, you're on your own. When you can't sing, on your own. When you don't have, a thing to believe in. When you will find, you have something that's grey but black. ...(geoff's saying that when you don't have your passion in life anymore that you are truly lost and almost like a part of you is missing.)... well that is my interpretation of the song. let me know what you think. |

| Saves the Day – Ups And Downs Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| i highly disagree about this song being about suicide, even though it can be interpreted a hundred different ways. i believe that this song is about getting to the center of a problem in your life and working it until you have sheld yourself of your old self 'old skin'. and you are a new person. but that is just my $.02 | |
| Saves the Day – Jodie Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| this song is so fucking surreal. every time i hear this song, something comes over me and makes me apprecciate life more and just look at relationships differently. i saw them about a month or two ago and chris performed this song in his acoustic set. it wa amazing. | |
| Jimmy Eat World – Your New Aesthetic Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| this song rawks! i believe that jim is talking about the corruption with record labels and radio stations. he is trying to show how everything is for money and not for the heart in the record biz nowadays. it's like he's saying that music for a band is almost like the side project compared to their image and cd, ticket and merchndise sales. it's very sad that he is true. but you can hear in the lyrics that he wants to change something about that, likehe wants to be a rock & roll star but on his own terms. mad love to him and his band for kickin' ass and writing good songs like his one. | |
| Saves the Day – Three Miles Down Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| oh my god this song is unreal. i don't think that i have ever related with a song more than this one. chris just has this uncanny ability to write truly magnificent songs that are way to true. this has to be one of my favorite saves the day songs. i love it. if you haven't heard this song you need to check it out. | |
| KoЯn – Justin Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| this song is cool, not only because that is my name but the story behind it. a young boy by the name of justin was in his final months of life due to cancer and his last wish was to hang out with korn. the band was just so shocked that all he wanted to do was meet them when he could've had almost anything else. its just a song about how much they respect 'justin.' | |
| Jimmy Eat World – Bleed American Lyrics | 24 years ago |
|
i think this song is trying to make you realize how screwed up the american population is, as a whole. we blow off friends and family to sit staring at our televisions for countless hours. we drink away our problems rather than face them, 'clean your conscience clear your thoughts with speyside with your grain.' i think that jim is trying to say that you need to wake up and turn your life around, 'i bled the greed from my arm won't they give it a rest now?' almost like he is saying that you need to shut the damn tv off and pay attention to everything in life because it will only happen once and it is so precious. thats just my feelings on the song. |

| The Get Up Kids – Ten Minutes Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| wow. i can't believe that nobody has commented on this song. matthew pryor outdid himself on this song. this has to be the best 'get up kids' song that i have ever heard. it is so sad, desprictive, heartfelt and plainly amazing. the whole song is the story of my life, well kinda. but none the less this song is just flat out awesome. you can hear his pain so clearly when he sings. | |
| The Get Up Kids – I'm a Loner Dottie, a Rebel Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| this song is so amazingingly beautiful yet sad as hell at the same time. i believe that it is about a one-night stand. the song rocks as do the get up kids | |
| Saves the Day – The Way His Collar Falls Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| this song is amazing. i think it's about missing someone so much that all you can do is hope that they are thinking of you., and that they feel the same way. | |
| Saves the Day – Obsolete Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| this has to be the best song that chris has written. when i heard this song, it totally made me look at my emotions differently. from beginning to end this song is all to true and very beautiful. | |
| Jimmy Eat World – Just Watch The Fireworks Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| i think this song is about an addiction to something. he's saying once you say that you have an addiction and announce it to the world then you are free to overcome it and be what you want to be. thats just my two cents. | |
