what i get out of this song is a relationship. you can hear it in the chorus...it's like he had the most perfect (for example) girlfriend but something just wasn't there. and if he stayed with her too long he'd just end up hurting her. you may not agree, but this is what i get of it. |

the Malleus Maleficarum was actually a book written way back i can't remember on how to determine whether someone was a witch or not...i.e. the salem witch trials, they said a witch could take a form of a bird...this was written in the Malleus Maleficarum. i think that this song is about in modern day society people who are different and treated differently than everyone else, i don't know how to describe it. it sounds like davey isn't ashamed of who is or will ever be.
this is one of my favorite afi songs, its incredible. davey havok is master poet. |
